HISTORY

Throughout the 1990s, Daniel Toohey, founder and president of Franchise Signs International, worked with Food Service Concepts as an outside vendor. In 2002, he partnered with the company to form FSI. His first client, Denny’s Corporation, serves as FSI’s largest franchise account, with Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation being the second largest.
Through the outstanding rapport established with Denny’s Corporation and Denny’s franchisees, FSI acquired various other accounts that have close ties, including Flying J, whose truck stops are often adjoined to Denny’s restaurants. Similarly, FSI acquired business with Pilot Oil and some of its neighbors, such as Country Kitchen and Cinnabon. FSI has also often handled changeover projects, such as Wingfoot to Goodyear Tires.
